In reality, a huge value of artificial intelligence comes from automating commercial interactions with customers.  An example - you call in or connect to a company.  The system already knows it is you based on your prior call history and already knows your issue.  The system can speak to you and can ask whether you are calling to “follow up” on a prior inquiry.  The system can then provide you with the current status of your prior inquiry, ask you whether you want to make payment on your account by entering your PIN to authorize the payment, and then email you your receipt before you hang up the phone or disengage the app.
